What is an AI Agent?
An AI agent is an AI system that can plan and take actions to complete a task—not only reply in chat. You describe an outcome; the agent decides steps and uses tools.

Agents combine a language model (reasoning) with tools (browser, code, APIs, files) and often memory. Success is measured by task completion, not message length.
Goal → Plan → Tools → Result
- Goal: what you want done
- Plan: broken into checkable steps
- Tools: search, edit, send, calculate
- Actions: tool calls with your permissions
- Result: report, file, or confirmation
